Chesta_beatz

Seattle-based DJ Chesta_beatz blends 11 years of experience with a background in audio engineering. Known for his sets that feel like a journey, a continuous conversation, he specializes in UKG, bass house, and dubstep.

The journey for Zach Lee, better known as Chesta_beatz, began in the world of breakdancing. After seven years of immersion in dance culture and a pivotal introduction to vinyl DJing & dubstep, he shifted toward a formal education in audio engineering. He views his craft as a higher calling, deeply rooted in the sense of community and acceptance he found through music at a young age. His sound is defined by a narrative approach, treating every set as a continuous, interactive conversation with the audience. Drawing from his technical background, he bridges the gap between producer and modern DJ. With a decade of experience and four years as a professional working DJ, Chesta_beatz has become a relevant presence in the Seattle scene. He has DJ'd in local hotspots such as Trinity, Civility & Unrest, and the Baltic Room, while also performing at high-profile venues like T-Mobile Park.
